UPBC-Day 2

This was our first full day at camp. Breakfast was at 8:30 every morning (and there was a bell that rung to let you know when it was time for meals). The food was homemade and very good. I was up early in the morning to take a shower, so I decided to get some pictures of the camp when there was less activity.

We spent this day exploring camp, fishing, playing on the beach, and going on a "field trip" to Laughing Whitefish Falls. Asher's favorite place to play (we discovered) was on the playground at the front of the camp. Judah loved playing Grizzly Ball (or carpet ball?) and riding a bike around the camp. If he wasn't at the Grizzly Ball area, he was most likely riding a bike around. Eden also liked to play on the playground, but I have a feeling that she would have done more bike riding if she knew how. The kids made some new friends, too. There were a bunch of girls for Eden to play with, and Judah made a friend with another eight-year-old boy who was there.

Ready for breakfast!

On the way to Whitefish Falls, we stopped at the decommissioned K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base. It was raining, but the kids thought the huge airplanes were very cool.

It really can be hard to tell from pictures how far down something is, but this is the path down the waterfall.

And this is at the bottom of the waterfall, which you can walk down to. Of course, Eric had to jump over the railing, and wade in the water.

The woods were so pretty.

Back at camp

A few of them even caught a fish!

Judah and Eric returned from their bike ride, and Judah wanted to have a go at fishing.
