A Fun Weekend

This past Valentine's Day weekend, we had an extended weekend since the kids had Friday off (as well as Monday). So, we decided to have a little impromptu fun. Eric still had to work on Friday, so I took the kids to have lunch with daddy at work (which they love), then I took the kids to Kohl's Children's Museum, since it is super close to where Eric works. Then, we went and picked Eric up at the end of his work day, and we headed to downtown Chicago where we spent the night in a hotel. The kids think hotels are so fun (and so does Mommy). Then, on Saturday, we took them to see a child's version of Midsummer Night's Dream at the Symphony Hall. After that, we decided to brave the......wait for it....Willis Tower. I say "brave" it, because the line was sooooo long to get up to the viewing floor. Despite the wait (did I mention it was long?), the kids did enjoy the view once we got up there. We also stood out on one of those viewing boxes, which I hadn't done before, The kids were okay with that, except for Judah who wanted to get off that thing as soon as possible-ha. All-in-all, it was a great time.

A sunny but very cold day in front of daddy's work.

Can you tell that Judah wants to get out of there asap? :)
