Splash Pad Fun

Judah and his playgroup buddies met at the spash pad and had some fun this week.  I just love seeing the pure joy on Judah's face as he runs around carefree with his little friends.  I think he ran around the whole time we were there.  It was supposed to rain, but the weather looked okay, so we decided to go, and it ended up being the perfect day for splashing around.  Of course, playgroup is just as much for me as it is for Judah.  I also enjoyed some much needed time chatting with other adults, so it was a win-win.  Baby sister was a sleeping beauty sporting her cool shades and hat.  What a great way to spend a nice summer morning!

Father's Day

Our kids are so blessed to have such a wonderful daddy!  Eric is such a natural daddy, and Judah just loves to do anything with him.  They are such buddies together.  Judah does all kinds of things with Eric-everything from shopping at Home Depot to "helping" Eric clean the garage.  I know that baby sister will grow to love her daddy, too, and I look forward to seeing how she looks up to him.  This Father's Day, we went to church in the morning and then Judah and Eric spent the afternoon cleaning the car.  Judah was probably more in the way than anything, but Eric let him "help" anyway.  In the evening, we met my parents for dinner to celebrate both Eric and my dad.  What a wonderful day to celebrate the wonderful gift that we have in fathers.

Yummy yum yum

Judah recently re-discovered watermelon.  He had some last summer, of course, but I wasn't sure if he would remember it.  We were at my parents house, and Judah spotted the watermelon in their refrigerator.  He immediately expressed interesting in having some, and proceeded to eat three large slices.  He could have eaten more, but we cut him off.  So, the other day, we gave him some more watermelon to enjoy outside where he could get as messy and sticky as he liked.  We had the hose and pool out, so we were able to hose him off afterwards. :)

A little slice of heaven

 All done...more please

Judah also discovered drinking from the hose.
