Florida Day 6

Day 6 was another beach day. We decided to go back to Lighthouse Beach because we thought it was really neat. There were a lot of people "shelling" this particular day-walking along the beach looking for shells freshly brought in from the tide. There were even people standing in the shallow water with small nets trying to find things. This one gentleman found a (dead) Leopard Crab that looked so interesting. I have never seen anything like it! He brought it over for us to see and hold. Eden was even playing with it in the sand for a while (ewwww). We did eventually give it back, despite our sweet little Eden who wanted to "take it home". There were TONS of beautiful shells in the tide, but every one that we picked up had a living creature in it, but I at least snapped a few shots of them. There was this one shell in the sand, and it started moving, so I took some pictures of the little guy living in it (although he is covered in sand). It wasn't until after I got home and was looking at my pictures on the computer that I realized I could see his googly eyeballs (double ewww)! Another fun day at the beach. :)

Look what the tide brought in!

It's alive! :)

Can you spot the two eyeballs?

Asher found this bag of cheerios in our bag, and refused to put it down the entire time. Too funny.

Eric called Grandma Rowe via Facetime and let the kids talk to her from the beach.

This is the Leopard Crab

This is another living creature that was found in the tide. So unique and interesting!

The Lighthouse at Lighthouse Beach

The kids found this worm while playing in the sand, and Eden loved holding it.
