Thanksgiving 2017

This year, we were in Pella visiting Eric's side of the family for Thanksgiving. The weather was absolutely beautiful. I think it got up to about 70 degrees on Friday! So, that meant the kids were outside quite a bit running around and having loads of fun. I didn't take tons of pictures this year (I just forgot to take out my camera as much as I usually do), but I did manage to capture a few fun memories. What a great reminder that we have much to be grateful for!

A little football in the yard on Thanksgiving Day.

Uncle Brian let the boys put on official Hawkeye helmets and hold an official Hawkeye football!

We were joined by Eden and Haley's dolls for our meal....of course.

This was a fun craft that Haley and I did together. We used washers from the hardware store to make snowflakes and other shapes. They turned out really cute. And I also bought sparkly spray paint to glam it up a bit!

It took all five kids to get their arms around "Goliath"

It's Getting Cold Outside

The temps seem to have dropped in just the last week or so, but that didn't keep the kids from jumping in some leaf piles yesterday. We told them that this might be the last chance they get since the weather is getting colder and many of the leaves will be fading quickly at this point. I am looking forward to the upcoming holiday season, but I am sad to say goodbye to 60 degree days. At any rate, we might as well embrace these last days of fall while we can!

Daddy was about to pile a bunch of leaves on them. I love their faces.
