"Culver's Beach"

One of the things we love about living in CL is that there are a bunch of fun things for kids. In town (just minutes from us) we have three beaches and numerous splash pads and parks. One of our kids favorite places to go is Three Oaks Recreation Area, which has a swim beach, a splash pad, and lots of other water activities (although we usually just stick to the beach and the splash pad). The kids call this place "Culver's Beach" because there is a Culver's inside the beach and splash pad area. We went to Culver's Beach this week, and I had fun snapping pictures of the kids while I sat on a bench and they ran around the splash area/park enjoying themselves. Then, we had some lunch, and walked over to the beach for a little while. We finished up with some Culver's ice cream...naturally. I love these relaxed summer days.

This was hilarious. Asher loved just standing there and pressing
the button for the buckets to fill up with water. When one of
the kids got water dumped on them, Asher's face would just
light up. He must have stood there for most of the time we
were at the splash park. He just watched the buckets fill with
water and dump...over and over again.

Cold water!

Of course, Asher's not far behind.

Judah has never been much of a climber, but ever since being in
physical therapy, he has gained more physical confidence. He
climbed this "spider web", and he was so proud of himself for
doing it. He kept saying, "Mom, look what I did!". He must have
climbed this three or four times. I love to see him gain confidence!

Can you tell he was excited?
