My Birthday

I have a few posts to catch up on here. Two weekends ago was my birthday. We decided to go downtown and check out Maggie Daley park with the kids. We have been wanting to go, and had heard some good things from others who had gone. Plus, we love downtown, so we decided to make a day of it. My dad decided to come with us as well, so that was an extra treat!

The kids had a blast. We started off at MD park, walked across the street from Millennium Park to eat at Shake Shack (one of our favs), and then we walked back through Millennium Park so the kids could splash in the Crown Fountain, better known as the faces that shoot water. :) This was perhaps the favorite activity. They had so much fun running around. Then we went back to Maggie Daley park and finished off spending a bit more time there before heading home. Everyone was tired, but it was worth it.

I love my dad. You will notice that he is carrying not one, but two cameras.  This is classic dad. Here, he is carrying one digital and one film camera. Yes, he sometimes uses film. As dad is famous for saying, "Real men shoot film". :)

Technically, I don't think we were supposed to put our feet in the water, but....

Asher made several "friends" at the fountain. It was so cute.

Waiting for the water

This little girl kept following Asher around. It was soooo cute.

Another little "friend" who wanted to play with Asher

This was cute, too. Another random child interacting with Asher.....just adorable.

My dad showed the kids how to change film. Does anyone remember this?

These swings were cool.
