Saugatuck 2014-The Last Day

On our last day, we packed up the car in the morning and headed to Oval Beach again for the afternoon. We spent some time at the beach and packed up mid-afternoon to head home. It was Asher's birthday, too! We sang Happy Birthday to Asher on the beach and put a birthday hat on him. He wasn't too thrilled about the hat. :) Judah and Eric spent almost the entire time throwing the water ball back and forth in the water. Of course, breaks were taken, but this was Judah's favorite activity. The cutest thing was that Asher spotted Eric and Judah throwing the ball by the water and, after watching them for a little while, became determined to go by them. He tried to crawl to the water and every time I would pick him up and set him back in the sand, he would head back over to the water again. Eric decided to sit in the shallow water with Asher so he could have some water time, and Asher loved it. He kept splashing the water and crawling in it-so cute!

Happy Birthday, buddy!

Much better

The look on his face in this one cracks me up

We had ice cream the night before, but the kids had leftovers, so we packed the rest in the cooler and brought it to the beach. Time for ice cream!

Judah's flavor was "superman"

We let Asher try goldfish for the first time...either he was really hungry or he loved the goldfish, because he was stuffing them in his mouth!

This is what Judah and Eric were doing 80% of the time. Judah in the shallow water throwing the ball out to Eric. He loved it.

Our setup

Eden did NOT want Eric to take her out into the water. She kept crying and pointing back at me, so Eric brought her back to the beach. Maybe next time. :)

"Look, Mom!"

"I think I want to see what they are doing."

He's not crying, he's screaming with delight.

She was giving me a thumbs up after she decided that she was going to go into the water.
