Cape Cod 2016

Well, we are back from our week long vacation to Cape Cod this year, and I have plenty of photos to share!  As someone once told me, when traveling with little kids, it isn't really a vacation...it's making memories. I have found that to be 100% true. While traveling with kids is not super relaxing,  I always look forward to our summer trip (wherever it is), because it is a special time doing things and sharing experiences as a family.

So, this year we flew to Cape Cod. We settled on "the Cape" because we were looking for a beach vacation in a place we haven't yet seen or been to. With kids the ages of ours, we prefer more relaxing beach-type vacations since that is what they enjoy (we'll do more sight seeing when they are older). We have done Florida and Michigan (several times), so we started to look on the east coast to see if there were any interesting locations, and we settled on Cape Cod. We stayed in a cute town called Chatham, and rented a house within walking distance to one of the beaches. Cape Cod did not disappoint, and we are glad we tried it out. Here are some pictures of our time there. This is day one.

We flew into Boston, and then stopped here to eat on our way to Chatham. I took a picture of this place because it had the BEST lobster mac n cheese.

The next morning..

This is the Chatham Lighthouse

We stopped at the Chatham Lighthouse Beach to check it out, but we didn't stay long.

Oh, and it was this guys birthday. :)

Now ready to walk to the beach by our house
