Florida Trip 2014 (#4)

This is the last of them....

One day it was dreary and rainy, so we visited  the J.N. Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge (bird sanctuary) on Sanibel Island. 



This is an Osprey, and for whatever reason, it was just hanging out on the ground nearby.  Apparently, it is unusual for one just to be hanging out on the ground like this.  At any rate, it was cool to see one this close up.

We bought a kite and attempted to get it up in the air.  Eric tried really really hard, but it didn't happen.  Nice try, honey!
