McHenry Dam

I had planned to take the kids strawberry picking a few days ago. We got all ready to go and I even packed a picnic lunch...I thought I had done a pretty good job planning our morning. We got to the strawberry picking place only to find our that they were opening the next day! Ugh. Sooo...plan B. Since we were in McHenry, I decided we could go to the McHenry Dam and have our lunch there. The kids had fun climbing, exploring, and throwing rocks and sticks into the water. Not quite the morning I had in mind, but at least we got out and enjoyed some nice weather.
