Chicago Fun

For the last weekend of spring break, we had made plans to head to the city. We had to be there on Sunday for Eden's birthday outing at the AG store, so we told the kids we would make a weekend of it and have some fun downtown. On Saturday, we went to the Shedd Aquarium. We ended the day with dinner at Shake Shack and relaxed with a movie in our hotel room. Here are some photos from our day. :)

This was one of my favorite things. We got to the aquarium around lunchtime, so we headed to the lowest level to grab some food. We just sat on a ledge right where the dolphin tank was, and we watched the dolphins swim by as we ate. Pretty cool!

It's no secret that I am not a fan of animals that live under water or many that even  are land/water animals. My two exceptions to this are dolphins and penguins. Look at these guys...who doesn't think a penguin is cute!

"Hi little guy!"

This is a beluga whale.

Here he is scratching his head on the bottom of the tank.

Eden said this was her favorite fish

Sharks!

Can you find the frogs?

Now for the dolphin show!

This was the next morning at the hotel. There was a race going on, and the kids were watching it from one of the windows in our room.

And the kids got to experience Garrett's Popcorn....yum, yum!
