I'm going to back up here. The day before the kids started school, my parents and I took the kids for a special outing at Royal Oak Farm. This is typically a fall outing that we do with the kids (and Eric and I will go back with them this fall), but they love it so much, we thought it would be a fun thing to do before heading back to school. We were going to do the zoo, but my parents had to be back in the late afternoon for something, so we though the zoo might be a bit much. Anyway, I have to say that we have never been to Royal Oak this early in the season, and it was so much fun. There was barely anyone there! Besides one or two other families, we had the place to ourselves! The kids loved playing on the playground area and running around. They would have been happy doing that the whole time, but we also fed the goats (well, Asher did), rode the train, ate lunch, and did the merry-go-round. It was a beautiful day, too!

Asher was all about feeding the goats |

These two started fighting. They were knocking their horns together and everything! |

Poor dad, climbing into those small spaces. :) |

These two are two peas in a pod! |

They liked this so much, they had two turns on the merry-go-round |

Asher was showing us his dance moves as well. :) |
