Fun In The Sun

I know technically it's not summer yet, but today's weather was so nice, it sure felt like it.  Eric was home for Memorial Day, so we had a nice relaxing day at home.  We spent some time outside enjoying the lovely day, too!  We broke out the pool for Judah since it was the perfect day to get wet.  Judah loved playing in the water, and was somewhat upset (to say the least) when we told him it was time to go in.  I have a feeling we will be spending a lot of time outside this summer.

It's Flower Time

Eric's mom came to visit and plant flowers in our back yard for us.  This was Judah's first experience "planting" flowers, and he loved it.  Of course, he didn't do much planting (Grandma did most of that), but he was very interested in the "tools" that were laying around, like the spade, branch clippers, and the broom.  Judah spent his time trying to use the tools, dig up rocks, run around, and (of course) throw his basketball.  It doesn't get much better than that!  Here are some pictures from our day.

So, in case this is news to anyone, I love taking pictures.  I would consider it my "thing".  It's just something that I enjoy; it's fun for me.  There is something about capturing memories, the expressions on my kids faces, or the different stages that they go through.  I am sure my kids are going to get annoyed about this in the future, but I am hoping there comes a day when they appreciate or enjoy looking back on some of the photos that I took of them.  So, I have been snapping shots of my kids in the past week or so, mostly outside, since the weather has been good.  Here are some of my favorites:
