Our trip to DC threw me off a bit, so I was behind on getting yearly birthday pictures done.
Judah is officially only one year away from double digits! He is our happy go-with-the-flow helpful boy. Judah is up for almost anything anytime, and has a certain curiosity about life. He prefers spending time with me or Eric over his siblings, and seems to be more interested in what we are doing. He is typically happy to help with whatever we ask him to do, and he rarely complains (unless it's after school and he's tired and hungry!). Judah learns and connects most through experiences, which is one of the reasons he likes to be a part of what we are doing.
He is the most likely to ask questions, but he is very literal in both his understanding of things and explanation of things. This sometimes requires us to help him understand certain things more figuratively or generally. My favorite example of this is when I once said that everyone makes mistakes. He was insistent that this statement was not true. When I asked him why he thought this, he replied, "Jesus didn't make mistakes." This is quintessential Judah.
Judah is really into sports, both watching and playing. On a nice day, he loves to spend time outside throwing a ball or playing basketball (or whatever involving a ball). He also loves to sit with Eric and watch a baseball or basketball game. Any interest of his either involves some type of sport or legos. He has a great sense of humor and really knows when something is funny. He likes to joke around or "kid" with his siblings (who don't always appreciate his manner of joking).
Judah, we love how uniquely God has made YOU, and we look forward to seeing how He uses you as you grow. Happy 9th Birthday, buddy!
