Father's Day 2013

This was a great Father's Day weekend.  Friday night, we decided to go out to eat at Gordy's Boat House in Fontana, Wisconsin on the lake.  It is a special place that we like to go to when we are looking for a fun and unusual outing.  The restaurant is right on the lake, so we can have a great view of the water and boats.  And, in addition, there is a really nice playground next to the restaurant (with a "pirate ship") that the kids love playing on after we are done eating.  We call that a win-win!

Saturday evening, my brother came to town and we celebrated my dad by taking him out to eat at one of his favorite restaurants.  Sunday was a very relaxing day at home with the kids.  Eric spent a good part of the day outside doing yard work and playing with the kids.  We brought out the sprinkler and the kiddie pool since it was really warm out.  The kids had a blast playing outside with daddy (they always do)!  Oh, and Judah filled out a questionnaire all about daddy and drew some artwork, which I laminated so that Eric can cherish it always. :)  All-in-all it was a great weekend.

Happy Father's Day to two of the best daddy's in the world-my own father who has poured so much love and wisdom into my life and weathered some tough storms with me, and my husband who sacrifices daily for me and our children.

We realized that our bigger kiddie pool had a hole in it, so we had to use our small one that we got for Judah when he was a baby.  It all worked out, since Judah decided that it would be fun to run and jump in the pool.

Later in the afternoon, Judah and daddy played ball.  Judah means business when it comes to baseball!
