Eden three weeks

I can't believe my little buttercup is three weeks old.  She continues to be such a delight!  We are getting into more of a routine around here, so that is helpful.  Here she is next to her bear.

Easter Weekend

He is risen!  Praise God for the precious gift of His Son whose death has bought us life!  What a wonderful day to celebrate this truth.  Happy Easter!

We had a busy weekend with family.  Eric's family came into town Friday and Saturday, and then we went to my parents house after church on Sunday.  Judah had a great time playing with his cousins, and Eden got to meet her cousins and aunt and uncle for the first time.  We also did a small (late) birthday celebration for Judah and his cousin Haley with Eric's side of the family.  Of course (in typical Prudence style), here are some pictures from the weekend.

Pretend Photographer

Anyone who knows me well knows that I love to take pictures.  I love to experiment with my camera or just play around taking pictures of the kids.  But just to clarify, I am NOT a professional photographer.  I have never taken a photo class.  I don't have backdrops, lighting, props, or photoshop.  Even though I love playing around with my camera, there is still so much about it that I don't know.  That being said, I decided to pretend I was a "professional" photographer and take pictures of Eden the other day.  I had to get a little creative since I don't have backdrops or anything, but I had so much fun.  Here are some photos from our mini photo shoot. :)

Eden at two weeks

Eden is two weeks old!  I'm not going to post something every week, but I probably will for the first month or so.  We are continuing to adjust, but things are generally going well.  Eric goes back to work tomorrow, so we will see how I do without all the help!  Eden is now about 8 pounds.  She measured 21 inches at birth, but when they measured her for her well baby check up, they measured her at 19 inches!  Uhhh....somebody messed that one up.  Anyway, we know she is growing at a healthy pace.  She is getting cuter with each passing day.  She seems to get overstimulated easily and, if she is fussy, she tends to do better when left alone (at least most of the time).  She loves to suck and this is very soothing for her, so this week we introduced the pacifier, which she has taken to quite well.  These first weeks seem to drag slowly, but I know I will look back on them and realize how quickly time does pass.

Needless to say, we are still adjusting to having a newborn in the house, but Eden is a great baby (so far).  She really only fusses when she needs something and is otherwise content.  I have even caught her "smiling" in her sleep a couple times.  Here are some pictures of her first week.
