Judah Turns 10!

Judah's main birthday present this year was me taking him to a Toby Mac concert mid-March. He was totally surprised, and we had a great time. Judah really seems to enjoy experiences where he gets to do something special with one or both of us (without his siblings). The concert was so fun, and Judah was soon asking when we would be able to do something like that again-success!

Judah also requested an at home celebration for his birthday after we got back from NY. His main request was Grammie's "crunchy chicken" with mashed potatoes for his birthday dinner. The day that we planned to do a dinner celebration at home for his birthday also happened to be the day that he had an orthodontist appointment. The good news was that he was told that he no longer needed his headgear and mouthpiece (yay!), but he also had some braces added, which meant that he was not able eat anything hard or crunchy for a couple days. I had not anticipated this, so poor Judah wasn't able to enjoy the chicken that Grammie made for his birthday dinner-bummer! We still had fun celebrating anyway. :)

 This was Judah at the ortho after getting the rest of his braces on and being told he will no longer need his head gear or mouthpiece. I'd say that's a reason to smile.
