Saugatuck, MI 2018

We spent three nights in Saugatuck this past week for just a little get-away. We took our bigger trip to DC in the spring, but we still wanted to do something this summer. Saugatuck seemed like a good place for a short trip, since we have been before and like it. We did a lot of beaching and some other fun activities. We were able to stay in a great location in town, and there was even a park across the street for the kids to play at.

On our way to Saugatuck, we stopped at the Warren Dunes for the day to beach it there. It was really crowded and the water was COLD, but we still had a good time. We found an ice cream shop/food shop across the street from the entrance that we were able to stop at for some ice cream once we were done at the beach.

I'm pretty sure this kid is cold-blooded. He would swim in an ice pool if we let him.

These two don't actually play together all that often at home. One of the things that I love about time at the beach is that they actually play in the water together and have fun. There's something about the water (or the beach environment) that encourages them to play and laugh with each other. I love seeing their relationship develop in this fun-loving way.

The water was COLD!

Done with the beach and having ice cream before heading to our final destination-this was a small!

The cuteness factor with this one is off the charts. I can say with confidence that he will probably get away with more than his siblings. #thirdchild #iknowitsnotright

Waiting for dinner in Saugatuck- she looked so cute wearing her brother's hat.
