Christkindlemarket 2014

Another year for us at the Christkindlemarket in Chicago. This year, the weather was actually nice (well, nice for December)-it was the warmest weather we have ever experienced at the Christkindlemarket to date. :) Eric commented that it didn't feel the same since it wasn't super cold and kind of wished that it was colder since that is typically part of the experience. While I get what he is saying (kind of), I loved that it was decent weather...I'll take that any day!

Eric took the two older kids on the train, and I drove Asher and we met up at the market. The kids love the experience riding the train (and having a Starbucks hot chocolate). At the Christmas market, we had crepes, pretzels, hot chocolate, and we bought a few ornaments for the Christmas tree. We looked at the Macy's window displays, which the kids also enjoyed. Last year, we spent some time walking around the indoor shopping mall right across the street, and we stopped in the Disney store. Of course, the kids remembered and insisted that we go in there again this year. They each got to pick out one thing (within reason), so they both thought that was a highlight. Here are some photos of our day...
