Judah 20 Questions (8 Year)

I feel like I have a million posts to get to, but I'll start with the kids' birthdays. Now that the craziness- I mean fun-is over, I can start to weed through some of the pictures and post them. Here are Judah's 20 questions for his 8th birthday...

1. What is your favorite color? Red, black, blue, and gold
2. What is your favorite toy? Legos 
3. What is your favorite fruit Watermelon 
4. What is your favorite tv show? Star Wars anything 
5. What is your favorite thing to eat for lunch? salami (lunch meat)
6. What is your favorite outfit? Iron man shirt and Star Wars (Force Awakens) shirt 
7. What is your favorite game? Baseball (or candyland if we are talking about board games)
8. What is your favorite snack? Goldfish
9. What is your favorite animal? "I don't have one."
10. What is your favorite song? anything from the Star Wars or Harry Potter soundtrack
11. What is your favorite book? Bible
12. Who is your best friend? "Everyone I know."
13. What is your favorite cereal? Batman cereal (which apparently he tried at school once?)
14. What is your favorite thing to do outside? Play with friends
15. What is your favorite drink? Root beer or Dr. Pepper
16. What is your favorite holiday? Christmas and Haloween
17. What do you like to take to bed with you at night? Blankie and monkey stuffed animal
18. What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast? Bacon and gouda sandwich from Starbucks
19. What do you want for dinner on your birthday? Portillos
20. What do you want to be when you grow up? A baseball player

Karate

Judah has been participating in a karate program after school once a week. He went from a white belt to a yellow, and then recently tested for his orange belt. I finally took some pictures. :) One cute moment was when Judah was supposed to punch through a couple boards (three to be exact). He just went for it, and broke all three. The look on his face was priceless. He had the biggest smile, and he was so proud of himself. Sensei Murphy let him keep the boards so that Judah could remember how brave he is. Judah still has them sitting on his dresser.

Sensei Murphy is SO good with kids, and I have really appreciated his approach with Judah. We are so proud that Judah has earned his orange belt, but our hope is that he walks away with something more-a valuable lesson that he is capable of many things with hard work and dedication. Go Judah!

Wacky February

I snapped a couple photos of the kids playing outside back in February. This has been one wacky winter! No winter jackets...in February!

Recently

I typically don't take as many pictures in the winter months, but here are some of the kids from back in January. I have been working on photo books, hence the delay in getting these pictures up. I try to get at least a picture or pictures of the kids every month for our family photo books, and it was the end of January when I realized that I didn't have any pictures of the boys. So, I had all three sit together for a quick photo op. I got them laughing real good at one point...I just love those smiles.

These two are best buds. They look nothing alike and have different personalities, but they love to be around one another. Asher likes all the things that Judah likes, and Judah is daily telling me, "Mom, I just want to kiss him, he's so cute." They have shared a room since Asher turned three last summer. This week, Judah has been sick, and one night we let him sleep on the floor in our room. Asher woke up at some point and noticed that Judah was not in his bed, so he came into our room and insisted that he sleep in there, since that is where Judah was. Oh, these two. 

 

Big Girl

Last Wednesday night before bed, Eden lost her first tooth!!! She was nervous at first, but ended up being very excited. She is getting to be such a big girl. I was happy that the tooth finally came out, because her grown up tooth was already growing in behind it!
