Harvest Fest

Our church had a "Harvest Fest" which we attended instead of doing the traditional Haloween stuff.  We were able to borrow a lion costume for Judah, and we met up with some friends and had fun!  Judah was soooo cute in his costume, and he had a blast just walking around....silly boy.  Here are some pictures of our cute little lion. :)

FALL FAVS

If any of you know me, you know I enjoy taking a picture or two. :)  And fall is one of my favorite times of year to take pictures.  The variety of activities, colorful leaves, and pumpkins give the perfect backdrop for pictures.  And, of course, my favorite subject is Judah.  So, I have decided to share with you (or bore you with) pictures that capture some of the fun times that we have had this fall.  I really have tried not to include too many pictures, but, well, we know how that goes.

See, I've just summed up our fall so far in one blog entry...not too bad.

JUST BECAUSE

Even though these pictures are almost two months old, I am posting them because they totally make me laugh, and I am hoping you think they are funny, too.  I mean, really, does picking your nose while eating get old?  I was hoping that my blog posts would be more meaningful, but sometimes I just want to post something funny.

I WAS ONLY GONE FOR A MINUTE

We are still working on using a spoon with Judah.  He usually gets the hang of it and does pretty well, but every once in a while, he gets tired of using the spoon and wants to lift the bowl to his mouth and eat that way.  On this particular day, he was eating applesauce with a spoon. I just walked away for a minute, and this is what I came back to...
Notice that it is even in his hair...nice.  Well, what's being a little boy without a little mess, right?  I love this kid!

INTRODUCING PLAY-DOH

So, in the interest of finding things to do with Judah during the day, I decided to introduce play-doh.  I thought it would be fun to squish in our fingers and just play around with it.  Much to my disappointment, Judah was not as much interested in playing with the play-doh as he was the containers that it came in.  He had fun stacking the play-doh containers...
and he had fun pulling the lid off and putting it back on the play-doh containers.

I even rolled the play-doh up into little balls and showed him how he can squish them, which he liked for about 20 seconds, and then decided that it would be more fun to put the balls into the play-doh container.

Well, we had fun anyway.  The end result was smiles, and, in the process, I decided to make my own play-doh masterpiece...don't be jealous of my talent. :)

I can't wait until I can have actual conversations with Judah.  I am looking forward to taking every-day opportunities to tell Judah about God...like how God wants us to be a little like play-doh because he wants to shape us into who HE wants us to be.  Well, until then, I am content to enjoy where Judah is at even if it just means stacking play-doh containers.
